Business Controller in Nieuwegein
Are you a hands-on Business Controller who enjoys making an impact in a complex operational environment?
For GXO Logistics we are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Controller to
join their team in Nieuwegein. In this role, you will act as a strategic sparring partner for
the Site Manager and play a key role in improving financial transparency, challenging the
business and driving performance.

As a Business Controller, you will work closely with Site Managers and key stakeholders to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making within our site. This is an opportunity to act as a trusted finance business partner in a dynamic and international organization, where your insights directly contribute to operational improvements and business success.
Your responsibilities include:
- Prepare weekly management reports, evolving towards broader business insights and reporting;
- Advise site leadership team on financial, controlling, and broader business matters to support effective decision-making;
- Active member of the Management Team, contributing to strategic discussions and providing input on broader business topics such as HR policy, organizational development, and operational improvements;
- Responsible for the monthly closing process (approximately three days per month), including financial reporting and analysis;
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting;
- Manage and analyze full P&L performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommending corrective actions;
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes;
- Act as a finance business partner to cross-functional teams, identifying key cost drivers and driving initiatives to improve financial and operational performance.

Wat heb je nodig?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or a related field;
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in business control;
- Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills;
- Analytical, hands-on and improvement-focused;
- Fluent in English (Dutch language skills are considered a plus).
